THE PIRATE'S PUB (Vancini's Saturday Suprise #5)

This week's Saturday Suprise is a song written by a mysterious pirate known only as Captain Vancini. It is rumored to have been taught to the notorious Blackbeard around the year 1716. Archaeologists at both Miskatonic University and Harvard have uncovered various artifacts and relics related to this strange character, including an old map believed by some archaeologists to lead to untold treasures. A professor at Miskatonic believes the hidden treasures to be a stolen booty from England's King George I, however, this has yet to be verified. Curiously, on the back of the map are written the lyrics to this song. Legend has it, that Captain Vancini wrote this song for an estranged mistress (who had drowned under mysterious circumstances on the high seas). It has since been an anthem for pirates the world over, usually song to a bar-maid or a prostitute.
