I eventually stashed the album, officially titled “The Problem Book Of Life And Death”, in the infamous Vault of Vancini and began working on a vast array of concept albums, all set for release in the near future. As a fan of the grind house exploitation cinema genre, I decided to build my own little theatre. Such titles as “Let Them Die (Slowly)”, “Don’t Look In The Basement”, and “The Return Of Sambo” occupied my time and imagination. Though, it wasn’t long before I sensed some unspeakable void preventing me from continuing. “The Problem Book” needed to be completed.
For some reason, I knew that I needed to release TPB first. If people were to understand the grind house albums to follow, they first needed to be introduced properly. If the audience was going to catch a matinee, they needed to see the ticket man. Have you not heard? This is the grand opening! A brand new theatre! First tickets are on the house! This is better everything… So… Grab your popcorn and soda-pop. Spark up that pineapple express, pour yourself a glass of twat water, and enjoy the funk. Though, I must warn you… Listen at your own risk.
